Seedream 5.0 Pro prompts that hold layout and text
Seedream 5.0 Pro does its best work on structured briefs: infographics, posters, product pages and edits that must leave the rest of the image alone. Below are six prompt recipes you can load into the generator, followed by the prompt structure BytePlus recommends and the coordinate syntax for precise edits.
Choose Use this look to load a recipe into the generator below, then change the subject, text and colors to your own. The last recipe is an edit: upload your image before you submit. Check the credit quote first.
Pour-Over Coffee Infographic
A dense, labelled explainer: numbered steps, a ratio callout and small diagrams on a clean grid.
Text-to-image prompt
Create a vertical educational infographic for a café wall about brewing pour-over coffee. Title at the top: "POUR-OVER IN 5 STEPS". Below it, five numbered panels in a clean two-column grid: "1 RINSE THE FILTER", "2 ADD 15 G COFFEE", "3 BLOOM 30 SECONDS", "4 POUR TO 250 G", "5 SERVE". Each panel has a simple line illustration of a glass dripper, kettle or scale. A circular callout reads "RATIO 1:16". Off-white paper background, deep brown and copper accents, thin rule lines, generous margins, crisp flat print look.
Tri-Lingual Platform Notice
A public sign with the same message in three scripts, stacked in clear bands.
Text-to-image prompt
Create a vertical public notice for a railway platform. Three horizontal bands with the same message: English "PLEASE STAND BEHIND THE YELLOW LINE", Spanish "POR FAVOR, QUÉDESE DETRÁS DE LA LÍNEA AMARILLA", Japanese "黄色い線の内側でお待ちください". A bold yellow safety stripe icon above the text, black and white background with a yellow border, high-contrast sans-serif lettering with equal visual weight for each language, realistic printed enamel sign photographed straight on.
Blender Product Detail Page
An e-commerce layout with a hero shot, feature callouts and a price tag, ready to review.
Text-to-image prompt
Create an e-commerce product detail page for a compact sage-green countertop blender. Top: large studio hero photo of the blender on a pale stone counter with a strawberry smoothie beside it, soft morning light. Middle: three feature callouts with thin line icons reading "1,200 W MOTOR", "1.5 L GLASS JAR" and "6 SPEEDS". Bottom: product name "VERDE BLEND" and a price tag reading "$89". Clean white layout, sage and cream palette, consistent sans-serif typography, aligned grid.
Night Swim Poster
An event poster that puts the headline, date and venue into one clear hierarchy.
Text-to-image prompt
Create a printed poster for an outdoor summer event. Headline in large condensed letters: "NIGHT SWIM". Subline: "OPEN-AIR POOL · FRIDAYS IN AUGUST · 8 PM". Image: an empty outdoor pool at blue hour, glowing turquoise water, string lights over the deck, palm silhouettes. Retro screen-print style with three ink colors (navy, turquoise, coral), slight paper grain, headline across the top third, text block bottom left, generous margins.
Lost Kite Four-Panel Storyboard
Four panels in one image with the same character, labelled shots and camera notes.
Text-to-image prompt
Create a four-panel storyboard sheet in one image for a short film called "THE LOST KITE". The same girl in a red raincoat and yellow boots appears in every panel. Panel 1 "WIDE": she runs across a windy hilltop holding a blue kite. Panel 2 "CLOSE-UP": the string snaps in her hand. Panel 3 "LOW ANGLE": the kite drifts over a church tower. Panel 4 "MEDIUM": she finds it caught in an apple tree and smiles. Panels in a 2 by 2 grid with thin black borders, shot labels in the top-left corner of each panel, soft pencil and watercolor style, overcast light.
Mug Color Precise Edit
An edit that changes one object in a marked box and keeps the rest of the photo as it was.
Image editing prompt
Change the color of the mug in Image 1 <bbox>380 420 620 760</bbox> to a glossy cobalt blue and add the word "MONDAY" in white serif letters on its side. Keep the table, the background, the lighting, the shadows, the camera angle and every other object unchanged. Replace the box coordinates with the area of your own image: x and y run from 0 at the top left to 999 at the bottom right.

For text-to-image, describe hierarchy, subject, layout, exact text, materials, light, and finish. For image-to-image, upload references and describe the edit.
BytePlus's structure: create [image type] for [purpose], show [subject and action] in [environment], use [style, color, lighting and composition], preserve [fixed elements] and change [target elements].
Put every word that must appear in the image inside double quotation marks.
For edits, describe the change first, then list what must stay unchanged.
Seedream 5.0 Pro accepts point and box coordinates on a 0 to 999 grid for edits in a precise spot.
The prompt structure BytePlus recommends
BytePlus suggests coherent sentences rather than a loose list of keywords, and gives this template. Use only the parts that apply to your task.
Three habits help most: name the intended use ("a website hero image with space for copy" leaves less open than "a landscape image"), say exactly what to take from each reference image, and separate the requested change from the things that must stay fixed.
Template
Create [image type] for [purpose]. Show [subject and action] in [environment]. Use [style, color, lighting and composition]. Preserve [fixed elements] and change [target elements].
Text inside the image
Put any text that must appear inside double quotation marks, exactly as it should read. ByteDance's Lumina guide says Seedream 5.0 Pro renders native text in 14 languages and is strong at infographics, presentation-style layouts and posters, but it still recommends checking small text by hand. Keep long legal copy or prices you cannot afford to get wrong for your design tool.
Precise edits with point and box coordinates
BytePlus documents a coordinate syntax for Seedream 5.0 Pro edits. Coordinates use a 0 to 999 grid on each image: 0 0 is the top-left corner and 999 999 the bottom-right. A point is written <point>x y</point> and lets the model decide the affected area; a box is written <bbox>x1 y1 x2 y2</bbox> with the top-left and bottom-right corners.
This generator has no click-to-mark tool, so work the numbers out yourself: x = round(pixel x ÷ image width × 1000), and the same for y with the height. When a box contains several subjects, name the one to change ("the person on the left"). You can also box an area and say it must stay unchanged.
Examples from the BytePlus guide
Replace the object at Image 1 <point>520 460</point> with a crown.
Replace the area <bbox>120 180 640 760</bbox> in Image 1 with a garden.
Replace the area Image 1 <bbox>120 180 640 760</bbox> with a garden, and keep the area Image 1 <bbox>700 120 920 360</bbox> unchanged.
Reference images and a draft-first workflow
Choose the Image function and upload up to 10 reference images. Refer to them as Image 1, Image 2 and so on, and give each one a role: one for the product, one for the style, one for the layout. BytePlus notes that references guide the result but do not guarantee pixel-level identity, so check brand, product and text details.
ByteDance's Lumina guide recommends a first pass that checks composition before you polish details. Here that means drafting at 1K and rendering the keeper at 2K, then fixing one area at a time with an edit instead of regenerating the whole image.
Frequently asked questions
Do coordinates work in this generator?
The generator sends your prompt text as written, so you can type <point> and <bbox> coordinates into an edit prompt. There is no click-to-mark tool, and BytePlus documents the syntax for Seedream 5.0 Pro, so check the edited area in the result.
Can Seedream 5.0 Pro make a batch or a sequence of images?
BytePlus says Seedream 5.0 Pro does not currently support batch output. Put several panels in one image, as in the storyboard recipe, or run the prompt again for each frame.
Does this generator return editable layers?
No. Each run returns one image. Layer decomposition is a separate Seedream 5.0 Pro capability that this generator does not offer.
Which resolutions can I choose?
1K, 1.5K or 2K for Seedream 5.0 Pro. The credit quote is shown before you submit.
